The Whiz Kidz grew out of many experiences that began at Oak Hill Elementary, so it's no coincidence that you can find them there quite often. The Whiz Kidz once again returned to Oak Hill to share "The Dancing Blues" title with students across all grade levels. In addition to storytelling, the students showed

off their best moves during the dance breaks. 

 Students heard the true message of Whiz Kidz, which is that each of them have a God-given talent that makes them unique. Students literally danced their way out of the door as they left the sessions. Thanks Oak Hill for helping us Devour the Dancing Blues.

Devouring the Dancing Blues One Party at a Time

The Whiz Kidz don’t just write about Devouring the Dancing Blues; they back up their writing with their actions. On April 20, 2012 the author team of the Whiz Kidz took part in the annual Oak Hill Spring Fling. The Spring Fling is a fundraiser activity that has all kinds of activities for kids to take part in and is highlighted by a school dance. What better place to spread the word about the Whiz Kidz! Our team set up a station right in the heart of the Spring Fling dance where parents and students had the opportunity to find out more information about the book series, enter a raffle for a free book and pick up goodie bags. 

Students and parents both stopped by to learn more about our books and offer congratulations. But we didn’t stop there! We led the students in two dance contests to really see who had Devoured the Dancing Blues and awarded goodie bags as well as books to those groovy students. We had a great time!
